Manager Trainee

The training program includes completion of the company Training Manual. During the training period, you will perform the duties a manager performs. You will be trained to collect loans, take and process loan applications, make credit decisions, develop dealer relationships and recruit / train personnel. The work is challenging, but, if successful, the rewards are significant.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collect assigned accounts to minimize delinquency and avoid litigation and losses. Adhere to federal and state laws.
- Effectively solicit present and former customers and new prospects by telephone, mail or in person to develop loans as assigned.
- Assist in coordinating activities within the branch to achieve volume, growth in net receivables, profit objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Attend Creditor Meetings for Bankruptcy hearings and hearings in Justice Courts for suits on accounts.
- Become proficient in all aspects of branch management in preparation for relocation to management position.
- Review contracts for accuracy and completeness. Ensure all documents are completed at time of loan closing. Attend closing at manager’s request.
- In the absence of the manager, review daily transactions in branch to ensure conformance to policies and procedures.
- Review and investigate customer’s inquiries and concerns. Explain various programs to fit customer’s financial needs.
- Assist in hiring, training and developing staff.
- Assist in meeting or exceeding established goals for the branch.
- Review daily transactions in branch to ensure conformance to policies and procedures. Ensure compliance to state and federal laws.
Other Job Functions:
- Pick up mail from the post office and night deposit bag from the bank.
- The requirements for this position are as follows:
- High School or College Degree.
- Willingness to Relocate- Manager Trainees must be willing to relocate in order to start their training and will be transferred again upon promotion into management. Relocation is a condition of employment and is required.
- Superior Work Ethic – Manager Trainees must be driven towards the successful operation of a branch through a positive attitude, eagerness to acquire necessary knowledge and ability to achieve results.
Customer Service Representative
The CSR position combines certain duties of a receptionist, cashier, customer service representative, and accounting clerk. The CSR greets customers as they come into a branch, handles monetary transactions, offers customers solutions to their borrowing needs and performs certain computer functions.
In terms of career options, the CSR position is probably the most versatile position in the company. While the Manager Trainee must relocate and is expected to advance into management, the CSR may elect instead to remain in the same branch for his or her career or the CSR can choose to pursue management training.
Essential Job Functions:
- Answer telephones and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Solicit all customers at the counter and pass out customer recommend cards.
- Receive and apply mail payments and counter payments to customer’s accounts.
- Open mail, investigate credit and process loan applications in a thorough and expedient manner.
- Maintain and secure cash drawer and accounting activities, i.e. balancing and preparing deposits daily.
- Insure that the cash drawer consistently balances.
- Perform all clerical activities including filing and typing, and assembling folders with sales finance and loan contracts.
- Prepare and distribute all assigned branch exports in a timely manner.
- Effectively solicit current and former customers for additional business as assigned.
- Respond to credit inquiries and promptly inform the manager.
- Assist in maintaining the office in a neat and professional manner.
- Monitor the office inventory and requisition additional supplies as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Other Job Functions:
- Drop off and pick up mailbags at the post office.

Corporate Office Staff
The corporate office of Tower Loan, located in Flowood, Mississippi, has a current staff of 30 people. The corporate office consists of the following areas: legal, human resources, marketing, computer services, finance & accounting, shipping & receiving, and corporate management.
Experienced Finance Company Employees
